Trivia: Was 5' 11" tall.
Grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and attended S.C.I.T.S. High School there.
His "Star Trek" character's full name was Montgomery Scott.
Doohan's middle name is Montgomery.
He was given an honorary Degree in Engineering by the Milwaukee School
of Engineering where apparently half of the students polled said they
were inspired to study engineering by his role in "Star Trek".
Was among many WWII veterans to publicly thank Steven Spielberg
for not holding back on the intensity of the Normandy
Invasion scene in "Saving Private Ryan" (1998).
(11 April 2000) James and wife Wende became parents to daughter Sarah.
(31 August 2004) Received a star on the Walk of Fame - Motion
Picture at 7021 Hollywood Blvd.
