Trivia:	Hackman lied about his age to join the Marines at 16, but left as soon as his initial three year tour was complete.
	While at the Pasadena Playhouse, Hackman and a classmate were voted "Least likely to succeed". The classmate was Dustin Hoffman.
	Hackman was the sixth choice to play Popeye Doyle in "The French Connection" (1971). He won the Best Actor Oscar in 1972 for that role.
